1. General provisions
This User Agreement (the "Agreement") governs the terms of use of the OnlyDay platform (the "Platform"), including mobile applications and the web version.
The Platform is a digital service (marketplace) that provides users with a technical ability to post job requests, publish and purchase fixed-price services, find Providers, exchange messages, record order milestones, and pay the Platform's service fees.
The Platform does not perform work, is not an employer, is not an agent or representative of Users, and is not a party to any work/performance contract, which is concluded directly between the Customer and the Provider.
Using the Platform means full and unconditional acceptance of this Agreement.
2. Terms and user roles
The Platform supports the following roles:
- Guest — an unregistered user with limited access;
- Customer — a user who posts requests and/or purchases fixed-price services;
- Provider — a user who offers services, publishes fixed-price services, and performs work;
- Administrator / Moderator — authorised representatives of the Operator.
A single account may combine Customer and Provider roles.
A Guest may browse the fixed services catalog, listings (if enabled), and public service information, but cannot post requests, order services, use chat, or leave reviews. When attempting such actions, the Platform prompts registration or login.
3. Acceptance of terms and related documents
By using the Platform, the User agrees to this Agreement as well as the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use & Content Policy, Moderation Policy and Notice & Action (DSA), and any other rules published on the Platform.
If the User does not agree, the User must stop using the Platform.
4. Registration and account security
Registration and login are provided via Firebase authentication using email, Google, or Apple ID.
The User undertakes to provide accurate information, keep access credentials confidential, and promptly notify support if unauthorised access is suspected.
The Platform may, without prior notice, temporarily restrict access to an account or certain features if necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, comply with legal requirements, or respond to requests from competent authorities. Where permitted, the Platform aims to inform the User of the reasons within a reasonable time.
5. Provider requirements
A Provider must be at least 18 years old and have a lawful right to work in Finland, specifically in the fields regulated by the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri).
By registering, the Provider confirms they have the right to work in Finland and will perform work only within their experience, qualifications, and work permit scope (if applicable).
The User understands that where a work permit is restricted to a specific field, performing work outside that field may breach permit conditions and lead to legal consequences. Responsibility for compliance lies fully with the Provider. The Platform is not a supervisory authority and does not replace consultation with official sources.
6. User content and rules of conduct
The User is responsible for all content they publish, including text, images, files, reviews, and messages.
All upload areas have a limit of no more than 5 files per upload.
It is prohibited to post illegal services or content, fraud, deception, fake profiles, threats, harassment, discrimination, third-party personal data without a lawful basis, malicious files, phishing, spam, or any attempts to circumvent Platform rules.
The list of prohibited services and activities is non-exhaustive. The User must not offer services or perform work that is prohibited or restricted under Finnish law, including but not limited to criminal, administrative, labour, immigration, and tax laws, as well as requirements of Migri, Valvira, Tukes, and other competent authorities.
It is prohibited to offer, request, or conduct payments outside the Platform's payment logic where the main payment must be made via Stripe or another payment system regulated by OnlyDay. Breach of this rule may result in feature restrictions, temporary or permanent account suspension, and other measures under the Platform's rules.
The Platform may moderate content, hide or remove it, and apply sanctions in case of violations.
7. Requests, fixed services, and communication
Customers may post requests describing the work, timeline, budget, and attachments. Providers may respond to requests and publish fixed-price services with a fixed scope and price.
After the deal is confirmed and the service fee is paid, a chat is created between the parties. Messages and attachments may be accessible to moderators in disputes or investigations.
8. Price, VAT, and total cost calculation
The Provider specifies the work price and the applicable VAT rate (if applicable).
The Platform automatically calculates the Customer's total amount (work price, VAT, and the Platform service fee) and displays a transparent breakdown.
9. Payments and deal stages
When choosing a Provider or purchasing a fixed service, the Customer pays Stage 1, which includes the Platform service fee. This fee is considered payment for the Platform's service of sourcing and organising the deal.
Stage 2 — the main payment for the work — is made depending on Provider type:
- Kevytyrittäjä — via the Provider's invoice outside Stripe, with confirmation that the invoice was sent;
- Toiminimi / Oy — via Stripe after order completion.
The Provider must provide correct payout details where required.
10. Cancellations and refunds
The Platform service fee is non-refundable if the Customer cancels after selecting a Provider or purchasing a fixed service, as the Platform service is considered delivered.
Other refunds are possible only where required by law, payment provider rules, or support decision within a dispute.
11. Performance, acceptance, and completion
If one party marks the order as completed, the other party has 24 hours to confirm completion or open a dispute. After that, the order may be auto-completed.
For Kevytyrittäjä, there is an additional step — confirming invoice sending within the set timeframe.
When support is involved, confirmation and auto-completion timers may be frozen until a decision is made.
12. Reviews
After completion, parties may leave a review within 10 days. Reviews are hidden until the period ends, then published automatically, cannot be edited, and are moderated.
13. Disputes and support
A dispute may be opened at any time from deal confirmation until order completion.
In cases of partial completion or quality disputes, the Platform may propose settlement options, including partial confirmation of completion or adjusting the order status. Such actions do not constitute acceptance of Platform liability.
The Platform is not a court or a binding arbitrator, but aims to facilitate dispute resolution and ensure proper application of service rules.
14. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is".
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for the quality or outcome of work, Users' actions or omissions, their compliance with law, or agreements made outside the Platform.
15. Force majeure
The Platform is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to force majeure, including infrastructure outages, government actions, connectivity disruptions, and other circumstances beyond the Platform's reasonable control.
16. Changes and termination of access
The Operator may update this Agreement by publishing a new version. Continued use of the Platform means acceptance of the updated terms.
The User may stop using the service and request account deletion in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
17. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Finland, unless mandatory provisions of European Union law require otherwise.
